Bei ÄNTERBILA handelt es sich um eine neue Band aus den schwedischen Untiefen, die 2020 ihr erstes Demo veröffentlicht hat. Damit erregte man die Aufmerksamkeit des respektablen Labels Nordvis, welches nun das Debütwerk "Änterbila" am 2. Dezember in die Läden hieven wird. Die Scheibe erscheint als CD sowie LP.

Soeben wurde außerdem die zweite Single, namentlich 'Torparens dotter', ausgekoppelt. Hört diese gleich bei uns!

ÄNTERBILA kommentieren das neue Stück wie folgt:

"'Torparens dotter” is a story reflecting upon how certain myths and the fear of the unknown were sometimes warranted. The song paints a picture in which a girl, unaware of what lurks in the dark, disappears into the forest. As is our habit, the music was written to capture a sense of what the lyrics are about. The mystery, adrenaline, and fear are all conveyed in the form of beats and notes. What really happened is not made clear by the lyrics, but it could've been anything from murder to The Neck."

Das gesamte Album dreht sich um die existentiellen Kämpfe der Bauernschaft in Schweden zwischen dem 18. und 20. Jahrhundert. Passenderweise spielen ÄNTERBILA auch eine furiose Kombination aus Folk- und Black-Metal, welche an Storm, Isengard, Taake, Panphage und Arckanum erinnert. Die Scheibe kann hier vorbestellt werden.
