Harald Hardrada

Harald Hardrada Classy melodic death metal. From the artwork to production and physical format (Digibook CD) everything seems like it was given much time and passion. Highly recommended for fans of the genre and will be looking forward to future releases! Favorite track: The Quest.
ozzman01

ozzman01 Melodic Death Metal as a mix between newer Amon Amarth, Amorphis and Witherscape and sometimes Sentenced with a unique own vibe. I like the singing-style (a bit like Johan Hegg, Karl Beckmann, Mikael Stanne and a clean singing Dan Swanö, but these are good references and role models) and the very melodic guitar work, all songs are variable and well played by the whole band. Keep this musical path on which you are. Good music comes from all around the world.

The Quest 04:39
-The Quest- Legacy beyond compare, A generous gift to those who dare. Cognition… Ignition In search for intelligent life! Not the escape from a dying planet But a conscious effort of the human kind to cognize… No distance is ever too far… No time is too long… The quest for ourselves in this void Ten light years from home! How could we forget who we are? How did we become so deaf To this irresistible call That had taken us once from our caves? Is it where we stand now? Abandoned in space… Forever lonely planet of A forever lonely race! No distance is ever too far… No time is too long… The quest for ourselves in this void Ten light years from home. But distance seems always so far… And time seems too long… The quest is over Ten light years from ourselves!
3.
Pack Rat 04:28
-Pack Rat- Gone with fire, Lost in the summer night. A sample of a yet unknown race – Measured, classified! Where am I? Walls of metal all around… Darkness – wet and cold! A glaring light… The sound of steps is near… A cosmic Pack Rat got another souvenir! Desolate in outer space A slowly dying automated machine - Yet the mission is clear! Kept alive, Given stuff to eat, air to breath. Soon you realize - This Cabinet of Wonders is your home for life! A cosmic derelict, A guest from distant stars, Picking up new forms of life on its way - Gone astray! On its journey to the unknown worlds In eternal wait for creators to come Dying species move in formalin flasks! Desolate in outer space, Trapped by dying automated machine In a hopeless wait That smells like formalin! Smells like formalin!!!
4.
-Down to Earth- Into the glowing of distant stars we dive… The escapists from the daily routines of our lives… Like the millions before me Lost in Orion’s belt Watcher of the Morning Star Vagabond of flame-red sands! Pray the Shepherd or Warrior Born of astral dust Inventive in your loneliness! When admiration Turns to terror or disgust You are down to Earth… Oh! Have you lost it all? With your eyes bent on the ground Will you see the starscape In a puddle of mud?
5.
Ad Astra 04:21
-Ad Astra- Transcending the boundaries, Reaching beyond. Terrestrial kids have grown out of their world! The cradle is empty Weak and naked we’re born To rule in the eye of a storm! Oh, we stand on the verge! We’ve barely begun With our destiny lying above! Oh, the reason is clear - The call from within. And we count every moment we win! Pulse of the stars in your veins! Let constellations forgive your disgrace: Years of despair, decades of dismay, Centuries of living the most wicked ways! Oh, we stand on the verge! We’ve barely begun With our destiny lying above! Uh, the reason is clear - The call from within. And we count every moment we win!
6.
-A Perfect Place (to Hide)- The science is fiction and the fiction is science! See the future with your eyes. We build our cities in the oceans and on the moon. The fiction screened feels like reality to you. Consuming fantasy In search for a perfect place to hide. Behind the screen is your life! No need to dream – no more! Just load a game where you can do what you want Until another dawn. Where do the all roads lead? When does dreamy childhood give way to cold math? Will you find strength to pursue your dreams? Or will you follow the beaten path? The surrogate of life! The surrogate of dreams! Consume it to survive Behind the silver screen. When I was a kid I dreamed of becoming a spaceman Exploring distant worlds, finding new forms of life - Quite an ordinary dream for our generation: Who else could you want to become? A hero, and adventurer Sailing the oceans or roaming the sands of a planet light years from home… To strive, to seek, to find and not to yield! Not to yield… Where do the all roads lead? When does dreamy childhood give way to cold math? Will you find strength to pursue your dreams? Or will you follow the beaten path? Will you stick together your broken dreams, Or will you choose your perfect place to hide?
7.
Solaris 04:00
-Solaris- What is there behind the mirror of your eyes? Vicious hopes or mutilated memories of the past? When the demons (or the angels) cast a spell (or spread their wings), Are you innocent enough to face your sacred dreams? See it night and day … No chance to hide… Stop this pain Of a naked mind! Oh, greet the guest from oblivion - Reflection of your own. An image buried inside the Unconscious is reborn. The scientific approach - No anger or mercy belongs to this world. Your code is broken! Exposed to dreams till reality’s gone! There is no blessing in disguise! There is no value. Pain... Oh, give them eyes to see the truth Behind the vividness of lies! See it night and day… No chance to hide… Stop this pain Now!
8.
-Under the Alien Sky- Human perception Fails in this chaos of forms. Like wind in our hands We try to hold menace Within the framework of our scorn! (Too late now) Pressurized, intact at some point - How much time will it take to break your shell? Primal breath, cold and hunger… Will you still remain that civilized? It’s hard to believe: The call of wilderness Under this alien sky Out of touch with our kind! Crawling through the frozen land Children of a cosmic race Natives of this savage world Armed with bows and arrows! So hard to perceive The power of the human race When Earth is just an abstract word! How can our children resist The call of wilderness Born under this alien sky Out of touch with our kind?
